SWADES

“Ye jo desh hai mera ” …..

Don’t wonder why I am writing about this movie so late…. Post a year of its release.
Its just I have always felt that this movie never got its due credit.. be at the box - office or among the audience.

Seen the movie before but saw it today once again. Must mention that it is one of the best performances delivered by this Khan. Added to that is the exceptional background score. The movie scores in its realism and obviously the story line.

Someone close to me used to always tell me that, no matter how much you achieve in your life , you should never forget your roots.. I finally understood what he meant.
This movie put into my mind such profound thoughts and it brought a feeling of doing something back for your country whenever you can.

Kudos to Ashutosh ……

" Red Alert "

" I have a dream...."

- Martin Luther King,Jr

My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.
Land where my fathers died, land of the Pilgrim's pride,
From every mountain side, let freedom ring!

So ,said the great visionary.

"Red Alert" sounded across the nation

Prime targets - City malls, high profile temples, public transportation...

Can you imagine if people gave in to this paranoia of terror and decided not to visit any of these “hot-spots” which the U.S Intelligence has declared as potential targets. Will people actually be able to protect themselves????

Traveling in my usual 8:56 local , I saw a policeman standing at the station, trying to look into the eyes of every passenger. Can he really protect us???

I cancelled my visit to Siddhivinayak… will that keep me safe???

Nation on “Red Alert” from 12th August to the 16th of August…. Does this mean that we are safe from the 17th August onwards…

Amidst all the “Red Alert , this week we celebrate our Independence…. Are we really celebrating ?????

But I refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt.

Today, I have a dream...a day without fear, from all means that cause the terror.
