300....

300... wow! what a movie..

The Story is about King Leonidas who ...blah, blah, history, politics, blah! Who cares.. This movie kicks ass! It is entertainment of the highest order. By the time the first battle scene started, I was grinning ear to ear. I have not been as genuinely and joyfully entertained by an action flick since Keanu Reeves somersaulted in his black leather cape in The Matrix. When the movie ended, it is only because I am a grown person who was sitting next to her boyfriend, that I did not bounce up and down in my chair and cry "Again! Again!"

The movie was shown a thumbs down critically by the American critics, grow up guys, Americans are not the only one who can fight against invasion.

Men who fight for honour, glory and pride... Spartans. Trust me, after a while i failed to see the well-toned abs of these Spartans as the ideology of a Spartan started to sink in..

Every girl's dream come true is no longer a "knight in a shining armour" but a Spartan with his "spartan reserve"

If...

Regret comes in all shapes and sizes
some are small..like when we do a bad thing for a good reason
some are bigger..like when we you let down a friend

some of us escape the pains of regret by making good choices
some of us have little time for regret coz we are looking forward to the future
sometimes we have to fight to come to terms with the past

sometimes we bury our regret by promising to change our ways..
but our biggest regrets are not for the things we did..but for the things we didnt do...
especially whn u can see that dark storm is headed your way..
someday i hope to get the courage to say those things i didnt say
because it might just save some one i care abt..

SWADES

“Ye jo desh hai mera ” …..

Don’t wonder why I am writing about this movie so late…. Post a year of its release.
Its just I have always felt that this movie never got its due credit.. be at the box - office or among the audience.

Seen the movie before but saw it today once again. Must mention that it is one of the best performances delivered by this Khan. Added to that is the exceptional background score. The movie scores in its realism and obviously the story line.

Someone close to me used to always tell me that, no matter how much you achieve in your life , you should never forget your roots.. I finally understood what he meant.
This movie put into my mind such profound thoughts and it brought a feeling of doing something back for your country whenever you can.

Kudos to Ashutosh ……

" Red Alert "

" I have a dream...."

- Martin Luther King,Jr

My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.
Land where my fathers died, land of the Pilgrim's pride,
From every mountain side, let freedom ring!

So ,said the great visionary.

"Red Alert" sounded across the nation

Prime targets - City malls, high profile temples, public transportation...

Can you imagine if people gave in to this paranoia of terror and decided not to visit any of these “hot-spots” which the U.S Intelligence has declared as potential targets. Will people actually be able to protect themselves????

Traveling in my usual 8:56 local , I saw a policeman standing at the station, trying to look into the eyes of every passenger. Can he really protect us???

I cancelled my visit to Siddhivinayak… will that keep me safe???

Nation on “Red Alert” from 12th August to the 16th of August…. Does this mean that we are safe from the 17th August onwards…

Amidst all the “Red Alert , this week we celebrate our Independence…. Are we really celebrating ?????

But I refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt.

Today, I have a dream...a day without fear, from all means that cause the terror.
